Actually, there is exactly 50ml and 250ml of adhesive in each package. We fill bottles halfway because air is needed in the package to prevent the anaerobics from solidifying. Nope. All manufacturers of glycerine-filled gauges ship them with an air bubble inside. I have been told that this is done to keep the gauge accurate at all altitude levels and to prevent leakage during air shipping (when the boxes of gauges could be 40,000 ft in the air).
