A:It can take a few days to a couple of weeks to take effect. In this time you should notice that the treated muscles are more difficult to contract or "wrinkle", resulting in a more rested and refreshed look. There are great controversies regarding HRT. I, for one, am not fearful of the stuff, not in the least. The studies done so far really do not test the 'best' HRT, that of a plant-based estradiol type formulation. Most all of the testing (and fear) is regarding Premarin, the HRT gold standard for many years which is conjugated equine estrogen extracted from the urine of chained pregnant mare's urine.

Natural hormones are, in fact, bioidentical hormones. The fact that the bioidentical hormones come from natural plants (soy or yam plants) does not make them bioidentical. From there they are taken to a chemical plant where they are further processed into the bioidentical forms. They are further tested for bioidentical purity, so that when a compounding pharmacy receives these products they are ready to be compounded into different dosage forms.
