Your username is your total email address, ie: your username@nscorp.com.au is the username used to authenticate you. Our email server settings are listed on our Account Settings page. Please refer to this page for oue email server settings.

VPN allows you to use the same email configuration away that you use on campus. See Install and Configure Eudora.

Email Command requires that when sending out-bound email using our SMTP servers that your email software be authenticated before allowing the use of our servers -- this helps us fight spammers. Your email software must be configured to authenticate you before your out-bound email will be sent. The username and password are the same ones you use to receive email. For most email software you will have the option of selecting to use the same username and password as you use for incoming email.

Once you have registered with Tata Indicom Broadband, you get an e-mail account. To download mails on your PC, you can configure an e-mail client on your machine. If you choose not to use VPN from off-campus and still want to send email through your own broadband provider, you will need to configure your mail client settings as described in the document Configuring Eudora Email When Off-campus. Suggested settings for Verizon and Comcast Cable broadband customers are included in that document.

Yes - for Outlook Express, select Tools, Accounts, Add, Mail. Call the account Solidrock. Enter your name as you would like it to appear on outgoing emails. The incoming mail server is mail.yourcompany.com and the outgoing server is smtp.yourISPaccount.net Your user name is your FULL email address (ie. yourname@yourcompany.com) and password as per your choice on signup (see your signup confirmation email for details)

In order to access e-mail from your PacInfo e-mail account, you are required to provide incoming (POP) and outgoing (SMTP) server information. This information is as follows: In addition, you are required to provide an Incoming mail server account name and password. Your account name is the unique name you were assigned when you signed up for service. If you don't remeber, it is the text preceding the '@' symbol in you e-mail address. For example, if your e-mail address is johnsmith@pacinfo.

The three crucial parts to setting up email are the username, password and mail servers. For the username and password, simply copy what you have created in Plesk to your mail program (Outlook, Eudora, etc). Finally, make sure your incoming mail server is mail.yoursite.com where yoursite.com is your domain name. You have to use your ISP's SMTP for the outgoing mail server which varies depending on what ISP you use to connect to the internet.

If you use Outlook Express or Netscape Messenger 4.7X your email settings will be automatically configured when you upgrade to SBC Yahoo! DSL. If you use another email client, you must change your settings manually after you activate your SBC Yahoo! DSL account. Here are SBC Yahoo! DSL email settings so you can make the changes to your email account:

Select "POP3" from the pull-down menu as your server type. Then enter "popo.ctimail.com*" or "pop1.ctimail.com*" as your incoming mail server and "smtpo.ctimail.com" as your outgoing mail server. Fill in your name and your email address. Then type "popo.ctimail.com*" or "pop1.ctimail.com*" as your Internet mail server. The account name is your login ID and then enter your password. Afterwards, press " ADVANCED OPTIONS" button. (* Click here for selection of incoming mail server)

Click "Getting Started" in the category" column and enter your name, email address. Then type "pop1.ctimail.com*" or "popo.ctimail.com*" as your incoming mail server. Lastly, enter your login ID as your login name and press "OK". (* Click here for selection of incoming mail server) Next, click "Checking Mail" in the category" column and type "pop1.ctimail.com*" or "popo.ctimail.com*" as your mail server. Then enter your login ID as your login name. Press "OK".

Outlook Express users, please note: Go to the "Tools" menu, and choose "Accounts..." Then choose "Add"; then "Mail..." Then enter the information you're asked for, including the information above.

If you are using an email program that our install program doesn't recognize, we can't automatically configure the settings for you. The good news is that our design allows any email program to work by making a few simple changes to your account settings. Our general help wizard will guide you through the settings required.

SLED is an information delivery service. The State Library and the Rasmuson Library pay all telecommunication costs associated with SLED. Email isn't available through SLED for two reasons: (1) the two library budgets could not support the telecommunication costs to offer email accounts to the public, and (2) commercial email services are available. In some Alaskan communities, local Internet providers offer Internet access and email accounts for a fee.
