Sludge build up causes engines to lose performance because it interferes with the ability of internal parts to operate freely. When oil passages are constricted with sludge, the oil pressure to crucial parts of the engine is reduced, especially to the camshaft and valve train. Emissions are also affected by a dirty engine. Flushing the engine will allow oil to flow more freely throughout the engine.

YES. We make no guarantees as to how much the cover will play in improving your gas mileage. However, in highway driving, many of our customers have experienced as much as a 2 – 3 miles per gallon improvement. If you use the smaller number of 2 miles per gallon as the figure to calculate cost savings, the savings can add up. For example, if your truck currently gets 16 mpg on the highway without the cover, and gets 18 mpg with the cover, you have improved your gas mileage by 12.5%.

This is a question that comes across just about everyone's mind who is considering making their car faster, and the answer is.... Well, it depends. Generally speaking, when you are putting on various bolt on parts to increase your engine's power out-put, the main way that you are accomplishing this goal is by allowing the engine to operate more efficiently. What you are doing in this case is allowing the engine to pull in or push out, air with less resistance.

Vehicles usually get between 7 to 13 miles per gallon. This depends of course on gross weight, the vehicle size, the speed that you travel, whether you are towing anything.

YES, a better performing engine uses fuel more efficiently, if driving conditions and tendencies are similar. However, it is not a guarantee. Diesel exhaust for trucks will see the biggest gains due to our systems' dropping exhaust gas temperatures over 150 degrees.

Performance computer modules are designed for performance improvements and not fuel economy, however they do generally improve fuel economy. Increasing the power by increasing the fuel to the engine means a bigger fire in the combustion chamber which creates more exhaust flow. More exhaust flow means that the turbo spins faster and creates more turbo boost pressure.

The lobe lift of the cam is increased by the ratio of the rocker arm to produce the final amount of valve lift. A cam with a .320" lobe lift using a 1.50:1 ratio rocker arm will have a .480" valve lift (.320" x 1.50 = .480"). If you install rocker arms with an increased ratio of 1.60:1, with the same cam, the lift would increase to .512" (.320" x 1.60 = .512"). The engine reacts to the movement of the valve. It doesn't know how the increased lift was generated.

The mileage depends on the size of the unit and the dirving conditions. Usually, you will get between 8 and 14 miles per gallon.

In full afterburner this car consumes about 10 gallons of jet fuel every second! It consumes 138 lb. of air in the process over the same time as well. In one mile this car burns 50 gallons. When you do the math it works out to .02 miles per gallon, or about 105 feet per gallon!

JET Performance Power Tuning does not alter your vehicles calibrations in any way that would hurt fuel economy. Fuel economy will remain virtually the same or may even improve (depending upon specific driving patterns) unless the vehicle is driven in a spirited manner (lead foot). For trucks that tow, JET Performance's Power Tuning is generally closer to the better fuel economy than the stock tuning.

Fuel mileage is dependent on gearing, transmission and vehicle application. Typically, a spark ignited CNG engine will have lower fuel economy than its diesel engine counterpart. This efficiency loss is usually more than offset by a lower natural gas fuel cost resulting in a lower fuel cost per mile.

Might be due to, colder weather, winter grade gas, dirty PCV valve, dirty EGR, dirty air filter, dirt Mass air flow sensor (there is a spray you can buy to clean it out), dirty fuel injectors, low tire pressure, larger then oem tire size, front and/or rear end needs to be aligned, dirty air filter, weak battery or weak alternator. If you replace or clean any of the above pieces make sure you disconnect the battery for at least 15 minutes so the ECU will recalibrate itself.

That said, on average, Touareg owners have reported about 14 MPG for the V8 in mixed driving. Average in-town mileage for the V8 appears to be about 12. The average reported highway mileage for the V8 is about 18. We have received a report from a V6 Touareg owner who has averaged 14.5 MPG in mixed driving during the first 800 miles.

Of course, recycling energy with GFX will improve the performance of every water heater, but the improvement may not always be as dramatic as with electric heaters since modern residential gas and oil water heaters generally provide an adequate supply of hot shower water. Notorious exceptions are the millions of combination oil systems operating with lime-coated tankless-coil water heaters.

AMSOIL Motor Oils reduce friction and drag better than petroleum oils and other synthetic oils, resulting in significant mileage increases. In a recent 1.2 million mile demonstration, AMSOIL showed a 4.5% increase in gas mileage. Other tests have shown greater increases under certain weather and driving conditions. Every vehicle is different, as are driving habits and conditions, and it is difficult to predict an actual increase. Top
