Yes, Reference Variety and Reference Specie records can be deleted. However, all associated information must be deleted first. If you try to delete a reference record that has associated information, the system will warn you with a pop-up message. Once you delete all 'My Variety' records, then you should be able to delete a Reference Variety record.

Using fcntl(), lock the line or record in the file exclusively. Now, using another thread, read the file, at each byte, trying to write that byte back. Whenever you succeed, write that byte into another file. Then copy the new file over the old file, releasing the lock first.

All domains must have an "A" record for the root of the domain. Believe it or not, omitting this "A" record may prevent some mail servers from delivering your email correctly. You can delete a user record from eDirectory only if you are the Superuser. To do so, simply follow these steps: Click on the eAdmin module which is available only to the Superuser/eDirectory administrator. A list of administrator roles will appear. Click on the 'Delete Staff' icon to delete the user record from eDirectory. This user record will be stored in the system's archives. The Superuser has a choice to 'undelete' this user record from the archives system in the future.
