Initially, we advise an international applicant to attach photocopies of his/her score reports with the application, but official reports issued by ETS will be required before full processing of that application will take place. If a student does not receive the minimum score required on the admission test, they have three (3) options: a) Take the test again. Sometimes, if the score is close and the student feels the low score was due to test anxiety or a bad testing day, this option is the easiest and most convenient. However, this is not the option to choose if the deadline for resolving provisional admission status is near. b) Take the other admissions test. Different people will do well on different tests.

Not technically. It is expected though that the candidates would have a GMAT score of 600 or better going by our experience with PGP-PMP 07-08. For CAT, however, there is a minimum score of 85+. The best score in previous three CATs would be used. The equivalent performance on the IIMA's specially designed test would be determined by the Admissions Committee for short-listing and application rating. The IIMA's specially designed test is very similar to GMAT.

In general, we require a score of 90% or higher on the analytical section of the GMAT or the analytical and quantitative section of the GRE. It is very rare that an applicant with a score below 85% is accepted, unless there are very strong counter-balancing factors, such as an outstanding undergraduate academic performance, or compelling evidence of extenuating circumstances.

These tests do help but are not mandatory as far as the admission into a university or college is concerned. However, the students, whose academic records are not good, they may take these tests to support their claim for admission.
