Food intoxication can be recognized by a sudden onset (1-4 hours) of vomiting and nausea. This occurs because the bacteria contained in the food have released a toxin making people sick. A food infection like salmonellosis can lead to symptoms like vomiting, abdominal cramps, fever, nausea, and diarrhea. Usually these symptoms elaborate themselves 12 -48 hours after the ingestion of a contaminated food.

First, if possible, preserve the suspect food, marking it with a warning label to make sure no on else eats it. Second, call or see a medical professional. If the suspect food was served at a large gathering, in a public place such as a restaurant, by a sidewalk vendor or in an employee cafeteria, is a commercial product or was prepared by a grocery store, contact your local health department to report the incident.

Fish are gasping at the surface, or very inactive, but there are not visible lesions when it first starts. Their fins may be clamped. Many fish of different species are affected, and possibly the whole tank. If the water has been bad for a while, the fish may have finrot, or streaks of blood in their fins.

Ill foodworkers frequently make others sick by preparing food. If at all possible, avoid preparing food for other people when you do not feel well.

Food borne disease is commonly known as food poisoning and can occur when food is not handled correctly. These are illnesses transmitted by food or water, caused by very small numbers of bacteria. Foodborne infection can be severe and in some cases, fatal. Symptoms can include fever, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain and diarrhoea.

The symptoms of EHI include an increase in body temperature (>104°F rectally see NATA "Position Statement", above), confusion, nausea, vomiting, increased heart rate, hot wet or dry skin, loss of coordination, dizziness and fainting. Ultimately the athlete finds it hard or impossible to continue the activity.

If not treated, patients who suffer from schizophrenia usually end up in homeless shelters or on the streets. They have a great deal of difficulty living independently, going to school, or holding down a job. Patients who are treated can often live independently and hold down certain jobs, but, in general, have difficulty living fully productive lives.

If you have stress incontinence, you may leak a small to medium amount of urine when you cough, sneeze, laugh, exercise, or do similar things. If you have urge incontinence, you may feel a sudden urge to urinate and the need to urinate often. With this type of bladder control problem, you may leak a larger amount of urine that can soak your clothes or run down your legs.
