I imagine that most devices use simple bilinear filtering to upscale an image. The downside of this is softer edges. I think I’ve seen descriptions of algorithms that attempt to find hard edges in the source material and to preserve them after upscaling. There are a few tips regarding this subject on the forums. PS/2 apparently is not recognized by OS X if there is a USB mouse attached. The easiest solution is to use USB keyboard and mouse, or some mice include an adapter to allow them to operate off the PS/2 mouse port. Basically, you need to be all one way or the other for the OS to function correctly. Not at the moment. My original plan was to make something that worked for the Virtual Console, and they currently do that just fine. However, many homebrew applications (notably those that use the LIBOGB library) send a packet that the VC doesn't send and fail when my controllers don't respond to it. These applications also tend to fall over when the GameCube controller is pulled out of the machine, something that my controller simulates when the controllers are switched off. Unfortunately the current Playstation engine is only for the original Playstation and is not functional on a PS2. We are in the process of developing a PS2 engine, due to licensing restrictions, it will not be compatible with Gran Turismo 3. This information is current as of Sept 20, 2001.
