Note: a default browser is the program that your computer automatically opens when you go to a web page.

This command beautifully sets Internet Explorer as the default browser, equivalent to 'Set Program access and defaults' method, which is available in XP SP1 and later systems. When the user visits a web site and mouses over an image that meets particular requirements, the My Pictures hovering toolbar will appear after one half second, and will disappear immediately after the user moves the cursor off the image.

To set Internet Explorer as your default web browser, open Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu, and choose Internet Options. In the window that comes up click on the Programs tab and check the box that says "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser." Click "OK" then close Internet Explorer and restart your computer. Once it has restarted open Internet Explorer and you will be prompted to set Internet Explorer as your default browser.

If you have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed on your computer, you will also have Internet Explorer (IE) version 6 Service Pack 2 installed. This version is later than the IE version on the CD (IE version 6 Service Pack 1) but will still work with our software. However, if you installed another internet browser (other than IE or Netscape) and made it your default browser, the CD will prompt you to install a new browser.
