a) What are the main differences/advantages in the DOHC head vs. SOHC head?

G64 FAQ
While the exhaust ports are the same size on all of the heads in question (1g and 2g DOHC and 4G64 SOHC), the intake ports vary wildly between them. The largest intake ports are found on the 1G DOHC head, followed by the 2G DOHC head, and finally our 4G64 SOHC head. For comparison, the 2G DOHC head intake port is 27mm x 55mm in size, while our 4G64 SOHC intake port is 27mm x 43.5mm in size. That's about a 20% reduction in size.

What is the difference between DOHC and SOHC engines?

w w w . v a n c o u v e r c i v i c s . c o m
Generally speaking, DOHC engines have higher displacement and dual cams (one for exhaust timing and one for intake) which can be tuned independently for a higher range of performance. They are also usually more "stout" engines than single cam engines. It is however also possible to tune single cam engines as well. They have been around for some time and the same number of modifications exist for single and dual cam engines. See similar questions...

When did the 2.5L engine switch over from DOHC to SOHC?

FAQs
Previous to '99 all 2.5L were DOHC and the crankshaft thrust bearing was on the #3 main bearing. This caused a see-sawing at high rpm due to the 2.5's longer stroke (everything was seemingly fine on 2.0 and 2.2 motors using this design). In addition, the 97-98 DOHC 2.5L used a piston with no skirt, which looked a bit like a pancake. See similar questions...

Will one of the dohc 750s motors fit in the 750 sohc frame?

faq
NO Same pattern... different spacing... A DOHC engine will not work in a stock SOHC frame... It will bolt up and different spacers made... but the front sprocket will be lined up with the left seat down-tube... may be OK in an aftermarket or custom frame with a single seat down-tube.... Can you put the DOHC head from a turbo 4G63 onto the 4G64?

G64 FAQ
Yes, it can be done, and has been done. Mitsubishi made this entirely possible and easy when it released the 1994 Galant GS, which came stock with the 4G64 DOHC engine. You can use the stock bottom end, and bolt on a DOHC head, using some parts from the above mentioned 94 Galant, such as the timing belt and cam gears (or adjustable 4G63t cam gears). There is a website that deals with this... Raycer97's Web Site See similar questions...

What are the main differences between venting systems?

Skutt Kilns Frequently Asked Questions
Window ventilation and convection hoods are passive-the warm fumes rise, and hopefully, are diluted or escape. This requires very large volumes of fresh air, which is costly in the winter. Collection hoods with electric fans do a better job of removing fumes, but fumes still enter the room air before they are collected. There is usually still a significant odor. External hoods do not help internal kiln performance. See similar questions...

What are the main differences between HEROES II and HEROES III?

FAQ's
HEROES III is like HEROES II, however, it has been greatly enhanced and numerous new elements have been added. More monsters and hero types, more town types, bigger battlefield (15x11 hexes as opposed to 11x9 in HEROES II), more spells, 128 artifacts, 28 secondary skills, etc. Each hero will now have a paper-doll artifact equipment screen, so only 1 weapon, 1 shield, 1 armor, etc can now be equipped. This will counterbalance the 'make a single superhero' strategy. See similar questions...

What are the advantages of oil paint vs. acrylic paint for interior woodwork?

Untitled Page
In the satin and gloss finishes which are commonly used on woodwork, oil enamels traditionally exhibited a richness, touch and leveling ability which was unmatched by waterborne paints. However, with the introduction of Eco, many professional painters and designers believe they have discovered an odorless, waterborne alkyd, which can be used interchangeably with traditional Hollandlac oil enamels. What are the advantages of a CF200 drysuit vs. a FLX50/50 drysuit and vice versa?

DUI - Diving Unlimited International Virtual Customer Servic...
The patented crushed neoprene used for the CF200 is the most durable material available for drysuits. It is so tough we use it to make kneepads and boots for our other suits! Given this ruggedness the material is heavier than other fabrics. Although totally dry inside, the outer nylon layer absorbs water making it heavier still when wet, and requires about as long as a wetsuit does to dry. See similar questions...

What are the advantages of self-don vs. shoulder-entry drysuits?

DUI - Diving Unlimited International Virtual Customer Servic...
Aside from the obvious advantage of being able to get in and out of the suit unassisted, self-don suits have other positive features as well. The telescoping torso on a self-don suit allows for an excellent fit with complete range of motion. That is to say, the suit is actually fitted at the legs and hips, while the telescoping torso provides the extra material needed to reach or bend without adding extra bulk. See similar questions...

What are the advantages of a TLS350 drysuit vs. a 30/30 drysuit and vice versa?

DUI - Diving Unlimited International Virtual Customer Servic...
The TLS350 is unsurpassed as the suit capable of handling the broadest range of diving conditions. Its extreme durability and lightweight flexibility are second to none. This allows divers to use the suit in the warm waters of Florida to the chilly seas in Antarctica by simply varying the insulation worn underneath. The 30/30 drysuit was designed for divers who dive specifically in warmer waters and climates. It is a slender cut, low drag design to accommodate lightweight insulation only. Are there any differences in one yacht vs. another yacht?

Valara - Frequently Asked Questions
Surprisingly, we have learned that many people know little or nothing about yachts. Some people think all yachts are the same, but this is not the case. Some boats are poorly maintained, of poor construction and atmosphere, or are not suited for private social events. Others fail when it comes to food quality and service. If you see a lot of wedding photographs, this is a sign that this may be a very nice yacht you are looking at. See similar questions...

The tiny wounds in the recipient area heal better because the new grafts and accepted more quickly. See similar questions...
