The dam can release anything from 1 cumec to 16 cumecs into the Tryweryn (a cumec is a cubic metre per second). The river can only be kayaked above 7 cumecs with 10 cumecs being the normal release. On a 12 cumec release or above the river is classed as a grade 4.

The quickest, easiest way to determine if your RO system is operating properly is to measure the TDS of the feed water vs. the TDS of the product water. A typical residential membrane will reject 90-95% of the feed water TDS and leave your product, (drinking),water very pure. For example if your feed water contains 200 ppm TDS, your RO water TDS should be between 10-20 ppm TDS.

The gauge at Grandview sits at the lower end of the river, but it does not give an accurate reading for the headwaters of the watershed. The Grandview gauge should read somewhere over 3 feet to give you a good float. However, even when it does read over 3 feet, that does not tell you what is happening in the upper headwaters.

Essentia Water uses a proprietary process called Ionic Separation. There are two ions in water. One is negatively charged (alkaline) and the other is positively charged (acidic). This process uses electrolysis to electrically split water into alkaline and acidic streams. We bottle only the alkaline stream. In doing so, we are bottling the water that has had the acidic ion removed, which naturally raises the pH of the remaining water.

This may have to do with adjustments that should be made on the ballcock inside the tank, or the overflow tube. A hose may not be properly connected between the two, or the ballcock settings may need to be readjusted.

Level one the first week. Start slowly... 3-4 glasses a day for the first 3 days, then 5-6 glasses a day for 1 week. Then, 6 to 8 glasses a day for 2 weeks. Then 1/2 of your body weight in ounces. This will depend partly on what kind of shape you are in physically when you initially start drinking Ionized Water.
