A - Yes. The College Honors Program is designed for students who demonstrate high scholarly ability early in their academic career. The program provides a series of interdisciplinary honors courses, which satisfies selected general education requirements. In addition, various campus activities are designed each semester exclusively for participants in the College Honors Program.

A - While Messiah sets standards for excellence in Division III intercollegiate athletic programs, we also encourage development of the whole person through sports. At Messiah, principles of sportsmanship and fair play take precedence over the results of athletic contests. The physical and psychological well-being of each participant is affirmed in the context of team camaraderie. This means that person, character, and faith development are of great importance to the coaches.

Goldey-Beacom is Delaware's only nationally accredited College that is devoted solely to the study of Business. Students can select from such majors as Accounting, Management, Computer Information Systems, Finance, International Business, and Management Information Systems, to name a few.

The College of Business Administration also offers a variety of undergraduate certificate programs separate from the degree programs. Also, some majors offer tracks, such as entrepreneurship.

Messiah College hosts a busy schedule of regional and national conferences, concerts, recitals, plays, musicals and art exhibits. The College has no “majors”. Instead, we enable students completing a bachelor's degree to concentrate in a specific discipline or combination of subjects. By far, the most popular choice of “Concentration” is Individualized Studies which follows an interdisciplinary approach allowing students to customize their plan of study to better fit their background and goals.

A - Yes, Messiah College has a Department of Safety. In concert with the mission of Messiah College, the Department of Safety is dedicated to the educational process by providing a safe and secure living, learning and working environment for all members of the Messiah College community. Along with ensuring the security of all facilities, our priorities within the total organizational framework are safety, community service and serving as an information resource.

A - Yes. Each student is required to attend 24 chapels per semester. Twelve of the chapels attended must be Common Chapels held in Brubaker Auditorium; the remainder may be Elective or Alternate chapels. Students record their chapel attendance electronically with student I.D. cards. back to top

Carlow University offers over fifty academic programs within six specific divisions and schools. Academic Programs

The Department offers three majors, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science.

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Studio (Ceramics, Digital Media, Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, and Sculpture)

We offer the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in Chemistry which differ in that the B.A. requires 9 chemistry courses and the B.S. requires 12 chemistry courses. The B.A. allows more flexibility to minor or major in another subject area, while the B.S. is strong preparation for graduate school or direct employment in the field. The Chemistry and Biology Departments cosponsor the B.S.

Principia offers 26 Bachelor of Arts majors and 6 Bachelor of Science majors. We also offer 4 minor programs with no major. Also if you have a specialized interest, you can design and petition for a special major, which can also include relevant courses offered at another college or university.

A - Kim S. Phipps, Ph.D., was named the eighth president of Messiah College in December 2004. As president, Dr. Phipps serves as the chief executive officer of Messiah College, subject to direction of the board of trustees, and is responsible for visioning, planning, fundraising, administrating and nurturing a campus culture consistent with the mission of the college.
