When a child is enrolled in Healthy Steps, the child is covered for a 12 month period, if he or she remains in the household and doesn't obtain other health coverage. Because the goal is to cover as many uninsured children as possible, families should report any changes in insurance coverage. Healthy Steps will contact each family by mail twice a year to verify that children are still living in the home and that they do not have other health coverage.

The system is set to automatically remove the biometric and demographic information on a child on their 18th birthday. However, that date can be manually changed or entered on the enrollment screen by the user. For example, a parent or guardian may want to have their child’s information stay in the system until they turn 21 or automatically removed on their 17th birthday. The Student ID Number is a six or seven-digit number that can be found on the result letter mailed after the initial lotteries and in the August mailing with school information.. When an offer is made over the phone and the parent plans to personally visit or call back with an answer, the School Choice Office staff will usually give you the child’s Student ID Number so you can provide it when you make your response.

You can register online via Oasis at the appropriate time, or register in person at various Registrar's offices on the FAU campuses. Advance registration is normally available for spring term in November; for Summer and Fall terms in April. The longer you wait to register, the less likely you will get the course schedule you desire.

The student ID is a generated number that will be used to identify you as an SHRP student. Student ID numbers (starts with 'A') are located on the Welcome tab of the My.UMDNJ portal. In the University Wide ToolBox, there is a link titled "My University ID". You will obtaing within a couple of weeks after you accept admittance and submit the needed forms and make a deposit.

Academics, during the months of September through May, begin for each student approximately three weeks into the orientation phase. They are scheduled from 9:30am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Academics are administrated by a licensed teacher and are designed to maximize each student's individual learning style. Due to the fact that most participants are behind in school, we have chosen to teach through correspondence courses.
