Handmade Arcade is Pittsburgh's first-ever indie craft fair. And, now that we're in our third year, may we modestly add it's still the biggest, the baddest & the best. We created the annual Handmade Arcade to give grassroots, independent crafters an opportunity to show and sell their wares. It's an alternative to Pittsburgh's established, traditional craft and art fairs.

You can have as many games as you wish on your arcade. You can select the games you want from your control panel.

Soon after releasing the Frontiers album, Bally/Midway released "Journey," the full size arcade game. At the time of its creation the graphics were technologically advanced. It contained clear graphical representations of each member's head, which was humorously attached to smaller cartoon bodies. The plot of the game was completely different from the Data Age's version.

Unfortunately we get numerous e-mails every day and simply don't have the time to help fix games that you might have purchased elsewhere. We wish we could help out every individual that e-mails us with his or her questions, but unfortunately we just don't have the time. If you are local to Philadelphia we do repair video games (depending on your location, the game and our schedule). Service calls normally run $55.

Right now, you can only get it at Handmade Arcade, but we're looking into offering it over our website.

We accept applications for a specific, limited time prior to the event. Please check our Vendor Guidelines and the Application on our website for more information. We do not accept vendor applications at any other time. After you've established that we are taking applications, just fill out the online application or print out the PDF application form and mail it to us with your photos and payment. PLEASE FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

It is 100% FREE. The only cost to attendees is what you'll spend on the awesome crafts & yummy food.

Current settings allow any member with at least 100 posts (20 for teens) to play on the arcade. However, a new post must be made in the forums at least once every day you wish to play. ??We don't want you disappearing in to the Arcade, never to be seen again, now do we? :wink:

All game machines come with a 160gig hard drive. This is enough space for thousands of games and room for more in the future. Our system uses Windows XP as the operating system, so any Window games you find at your local computer store can be played on this sytem.

To select the games you want on your arcade, simply login to your control panel and click on the "Categories" link. You will be presented with a list of game categories available. Click on the category name of your choice and you will be presented with a list of games available for that category. To add the game to your arcade, all you need to do is put a checkmark next to it in the available box then click on the "Save Selected" button.

To add your layout you will need to break it down into a html header and footer files, then enter the url to those files in the appropriate space in the control panel. Remember that the header and footer will be hosted on your server, not ours so you will need to make sure that all the link point to your domain and if you use style sheets that they are also called from your domain.

This is not an easy thing go do. For input, many people have used a JPAC (http://www.ultimarc.com/jpac.html). This is the only pre-built solution that we are aware of. For video, unless you have experience setting up custom video modes in Linux, it's probably easier to go with Windows and an ArcadeVGA card (http://www.ultimarc.com/avgainf.html). This card will run at video modes that an be used by an arcade monitor.

Yes, the system fits a Wells Gardner 19 inch arcade monitor. You can mount it using a 2x6. We can provide you directions on how to mount this monitor.

Yes, for an additional fee we can customize your computer anyway you wish. This usually adds one additional week in order to set up and ship your arcade.
