Starting in the GroupWise Main Window, follow this sequence of steps to enable your GroupWise alarm feature. This will alert you to upcoming appointments a few minutes before hand. Note; the GroupWise Notify program must be running for the alarm feature to work. To set up Notification follow these steps: If the user or resource is not listed in the Notification list, type the name > click Add User. You can select the name from the Address Selector dialog box.

Each time the calendar application reminds you of an alarm, your device turns on. For example, if your Auto-off is set to 2 minutes, and you ignore 5 alarms each day, and your alarm preference is set to 3 reminders, your device will be "on" and eating battery power for 30 minutes a day, even though you haven't touched it. If you won't be acknowledging alarms for a while, set your Alarm preferences to fewer reminder repeats, and your Auto-off to a lower setting.

Your BlackBerry Internet Service enables you to synchronise your BlackBerry address book, tasks, memos and calendar with Microsoft Outlook 2000 or later. To allow you to do this you will need to install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager that came on a CD with your BlackBerry device. To load Desktop Manager you should run the BlackBerry Desktop Manager CD and an Install Wizard will then take you through the installation process.

To set the frequency of synchronisation for all groups go to menu Options\preferences, part message\Synchronisation. In box for Frequency of synchronisation (in minutes), set the time (in minutes) between 2 synchronisations. To set the frequency of synchronisation for the selected group go to the same menu and set the time (in minutes between 2 synchronisations in the box refresh of the selected group (in minutes).

GroupWise is the e-mail system used by CWU faculty, staff and students. It is imperative that you check your CWU e-mail account frequently because the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid and other student services use e-mail to send important notices. For information on activating your CWU GroupWise e-mail account, go to http://www.cwu.edu/~its.

The Sun ONE Sync Software must be downloaded and installed on your PC. This software may be downloaded from here or directly from Sun Microsystems. You must use calendar.una.edu as the server name and port 6785 for synchronization. For conflict resolution, you should set UNA's calendar server to be the master record. You must use your UNAPortal username and password for verification. For assistance, please consult the user's guide, available here or online at Sun Microsystems.

First, decide whether you want a Palm Operating System or Pocket PC (Windows-like) Operating System. Palm OS's are more commonly used and are less expensive. Pocket PCs are more powerful. A major deciding factor for health professionals is whether the software they want is available for the OS they have, so do your homework before you buy. On Vantage Pro2, alarms can be set be just about every weather variable, for just about any reason imaginable-up to 65 alarms, in all. Like the graphs, the alarms found on the competition's stations are generally quite limited.

Verifiy that the username that is being displayed in the User ID box is correct. Groupwise usernames and passwords are case sensitive, so make sure that your cap locks are not on. When you click on the GroupWise icon, it should prompt you for a username. If it does not, follow the steps in section 9.1 of this FAQ. Doing this will allow you to check the User ID to make sure that it is yours.

The person who owns the account must grant access to the person who they want proxy their account: To do this they must follow the steps listed below. Click on the address book icon next to the name box and then double click to select the person that you are giving proxy rights to. This will add the person's name to Access List. Choose the items that you want them to have access to by clicking in the white box in front of the item.

The GroupWise properties can be modified so that when the icon is clicked, a box appears that allows the user to enter their GroupWise username and password. When the GroupWise Properites box pops up, select the Shortcut tab. The screen will look like the one below, except you will need to add the /@u-? (There should only be one space between the EXE and the /@u-?) Click OK The next time you click the Groupwise icon, it should ask you to enter a uername and password.

Go into the Address Book by clicking the address book icon OR Click Tools and then click Address Book) There is a column in the Address Book labeled Post Office. Your post office will be specified in that column. If the column is not listed, follow steps 2-4 in item 1.6 of this FAQ, substituing Post Office for last name.

The BMW alarm is p/n 65-73-9-416-520 Note: This P/N does NOT work on the convertible (MSRP $300, $220 from PacificBMW.com). This includes a high-powered siren, trunk/hood protection, interior motion sensor and tilt sensor. It will also flash the "clown nose" LED located on the bottom of the rearview mirror.

The calendar is your photo archive where all your photos are organized by month. From here you can browse your photos using a simple and familiar calendar interface. You can also make a note to each month, which not only helps you locating photos (yours as well as friends and family members photos with a photo account), but also makes browsing experience more fun.

The Novell GroupWise IMAP server would be better named GroupFoolish; it is (according to the designer of IMAP) unusably broken. Among other things, it doesn't include a required content length in its BODY[TEXT] response. Fetchmail works around this problem, but we strongly recommend voting with your dollars for a server that isn't brain-dead. If you stick with code as shoddy as GroupWise seems to be, you will probably pay for it with other problems.
