How should the Essentials be stored since they include enzymes and products? I have heard that enzymes should not be refrigerated, but that probiotics should.

All unopened Camino pro™ products have a shelf life of one year when stored appropriately. Refrigeration of unopened units is not required but is recommended to extend shelf life. If a product is opened and not consumed entirely, refrigerate remainder and consume within 48 hours.

It is always best that canned products be consumed immediately after opening. It is not recommended to keep opened canned products at room temperature because the can will rust. The proper way to handle an opened canned product is to transfer the sauce to a clean, covered container and store in the refrigerator.

Citrus is best kept at room temperature of 60-70 degrees and used within two weeks. Do not store in plastic bags. Berries and Cherries are best covered in the fridge. Don't wash until you use them??-too much moisture in the package speeds spoilage. Avocados & Bananas are best stored and eaten at room temperature. Both will ripen with time.

If stored sealed and refrigerated, BroccoSprouts have a shelf life of at least 2 weeks. If you detect an unpleasant odor upon opening the box, the sprouts should be thrown out.

Citrus is a closed system. Fruit remains fresh after being taken off the tree because it contains its own natural preservative - citric acid. No bacteria can get into the fruit because the skin keeps it out. With our method of cleansing the fruit, peeling it before squeezing, bottling at low temperatures and filling the juice to the cap, we create another closed system for the fruit. The four enemies of fresh squeezed products are oxygen, bacteria, heat and peel oil.

We don't use much preservatives in our cookies, they are pretty close to "all natural". If kept in a cool area the cookies will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. A few days if not kept cool, and up a 2 months in the fridge.

We do not add perservatives to any of our products. Our cookie gifts are made fresh for each order to ensure these gifts are not only beautiful but delicious. Cookie Cuties™ are individually bagged and will stay fresh (if kept inside the bag) for up to three weeks. Otherwise, they can be frozen to preserve their freshness. Our biscotti is a dry bakery product and will stay fresh in its sealed freshness bag for up to six months.
