Verification is a process that provides for confirmation of the data provided on the FAFSA with actual tax data. Verification itself is a federal requirement and applications are selected by the Department of Education. If your file is selected for verification, please submit signed copies of your current federal tax returns with W-2 statements. The Financial Aid Office will notify you of any additional documentation that may be needed to complete your file.

After you have completed registration, the AF Portal will check the AF Directory Services database that includes all AF personnel. If that check fails, there is a secondary database check at the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC).

Valid payment information (valid Entrust Purchase Order number, valid Credit Card Information or Promo Code) If the Technical Contact works for a subcontracting company (i.e., ISP) Entrust Certificate Services will forward a Consent Form to the Authorization Contact. The Consent Form will also confirm that the Authorizing Contact has read and agreed to the terms of the CPS and Subscription Agreement.

Entrust must go through the same steps for a renewal certificate as if a new certificate was being purchased. The renewal verification process usually takes 3 to 5 business days within North America. If your company has already purchased a certificate from Entrust, the verification process should occur faster since Dun and Bradstreet should have your DUNS number and business report on file. You will not need to fax any legal information to Entrust unless specifically requested by Entrust.

This occurs for 3 out of every 10 applicants. Our office will mail a letter to your permanent address requesting signed copies of the student's and parent's (if applicable) Federal income tax returns and W-2 forms and requesting completion of an enclosed verification worksheet (also available online). This letter will only be mailed once; all future requests will be sent via email.

If you are dropping off your request, the ISO requires ten (10) business days to process routine documents. However, if there are any problems with your documents, the process may take longer. Please plan ahead and bring complete and accurate documents.
