Everything that I know about, or learn about KTPIC will be placed in the KTPIC help file. If the information isn't here, I don't know the answer. I don't recommend KTPIC for the technical novice or anyone without a sense of adventure, self-motivating curiousity, a willingness to experiment and test, or the persistence to read all the documentation. auAM 101e is another PMD creation tool. I don't know a thing about it yet.

SIMM 2.0 contains a new utility for saving TIFF images of the model window. This utility can save either a single image or a sequence of them (e.g., to capture an entire motion sequence). Once you have the set of TIFF images, you can use a third-party application to assemble them into an MPEG or Quicktime movie, or an animated GIF. Determine the number of frames that you wish to work with. From this number, choose a reasonable angle increment value.

A) - The current Apple email program in OS 10.3 Panther doesn't support animated GIF files, at least when sending them to someone, though it does receive them. The Photo Gallery is designed for management of photos. The GIF format is not widely used for photos, but we included limited support for it due to the fact that some users have photos in this format. However, we did not implement the animation feature. You can use Internet Explorer to view your animated GIF files.

This was a useful technique in Internotes Web Publisher and TILE. You would store all the special GIF and JPEG files as attachments in the Using document for a database. When the web site was generated, these files would then be detached and placed in the same directory. This way, there is only one copy of these images which you'd reference in custom HTML for the site for generating backgrounds, etc.

Yes, you may as long as the total file size is 20K or less. Remember, though: some people find animation annoying. Try to keep your banner from being annoying. Fast blinking neon colors are probably not going to fit in on most renaissance sites.

eCopy does not recommend the use of animated gif images for connector buttons. Animated gifs require significant imaging resources on the MEAP -enabled device and degrade overall performance. If using the Remote logon feature, all users excluding Domain Administrators, must be explicitly added to the users list within Action>Display User within the Services Manager.

A .gif is a type of image file. An animated .gif are multiple images layered together with instructions to rotate from one image to the next. All standard browsers will display animated gif images. A Flash Animation is a small movie and requires that the Flash software be installed on the client computer.

Basically, SimPose-ium doesn't generate animated GIF files directly, but generates all the files needed for a 3rd party tool to make the GIF. In the file selection dialog box, select/create the name of the first image to be created. If SimPose-ium is displaying an animation, screen capture will generate a series of bitmaps - one for each frame. If you select the name XXX.bmp, the files will be called XXX0000.bmp, XXX0001.bmp etc.

You need a decent computer paint or image processing program for this purpose. It must be able to scale images, and save them in JPG or GIF format. Some programs, like the lame paint program that comes bundled within Windows, sure can't do that very well...

A) - When you save an animated gif to your documents it will not appear animated, although it still is. You will need to create an image folder to see the gif animated.

That depends on your browser... With NetScape and Microsoft Internet Explorer you can Ctrl-Right Click *on* the image and you will get a menu with an option to "Save Image As...", or "Save Picture As...". Then you can just give it mapname.gif.

You can insert your animated GIF files into PowerPoint by selecting Insert / Picture / From File from the menu in PowerPoint, just like you would place any other picture file in your slideshow. Currently, no version of PowerPoint properly plays all animated GIFs like your web browser does. This is not a defect of Morpheus Photo Morpher or the animated GIFs it creates, but simply that PowerPoint does not properly obey the looping information stored in any GIF file.
