Most visitors come to the Canyon from May through September. If you decide to come then, be aware that the high season, while beautiful, means large crowds and parking at a premium. In the off-season from October through April, crowds are minimal and seeing the Canyon with a dusting of snow is worth the trip! Beware that some parts of the park and some services are closed in the off-season.

Expect heavy crowds during spring, summer, and fall months. You will find fewer crowds in the early spring or late fall. The South Rim is open year round, but heavy snows close the road to the North Rim from late October to mid May of each year. (top of page)

If you are interested in hiking, the best time to visit is July through October. Trails are typically still covered with snow through the middle of June. Of course, this all depends on weather conditions. Aspen does not typically see a heavy first snow until October/November. Again, this cannot be predicted.

Several periods offer their own advantages: the first 15 days of January, and the period comprised between August 1 and August 15 are the best periods for hotel discounts. August is a great month until August 20 because car trafic is much lighter. May and June are usually great months for their mild temperatures. September can be great during an Indian summer, but the hotels get crowded. The period extending from right before Christmas to righ after New Year Eve is terrifically romantic.

We do the most Grand Canyon river rafting trips during June, July, and August, when many families plan their vacations. During the summer, daytime temperatures range from 80 to 100 degrees, with a 10 to 20 degree drop at night. The lack of humidity, coupled with frequent swimming or wading, helps keep you comfortable. Temperatures are milder in the spring and fall, but it is still pleasant to be in the canyon. Many wildflowers are in bloom in April and May.

The best time to visit Bhutan are: March through May in spring, and September through November in Fall. The climate is best in fall, from late September to late November, when skies are clear and the high mountain peaks are visible. This is the ideal time for trekking and for travelling throughout the country. You may arrange your trip surrounding an annual Tsechu (relegious dance festival).

Any time is the best time. If you are feeling ill in any way it never hurts to get a professional opinion.

The 'dry' season from April to October seems to be generally considered preferable, at least as far as weather is concerned.

Although you can get a tattoo any time of the year, your skin gets a lot more abuse during the summer with swimming, tanning and just being exposed to the elements more. Winter time is really the best season to get a tattoo.

Grand Canyon National Park is located in northern Arizona near the southern border of Utah and the southeastern tip of Nevada.

There is no "address" for the Grand Canyon. However, you will see businesses with a Grand Canyon city address and a 86023 postal code. These businesses are generally located in Tusayan, AZ near the entrance to the South Rim.

Generally, July and August are the warmest and driest months in the Tetons. We usually set up our high camp in early June and take it down around the second week of September. It is not uncommon to have stable weather and successful ascents in June and early September but the temperatures are, on average, cooler in those months. Routes are often snow covered in June, while trips in August and September will be primarily on rock and talus.
