How does Gas-X work?

Gas-X > FAQ's
Simethicone, the active ingredient in Gas-X, is powerful medicine that breaks up the surface tension of trapped gas and allows your system to deal with it naturally, often providing relief in a matter of seconds. Frequently Asked Questions for comp.lang.lisp
This code is probably part of the source to a lisp compiler, which knows how to open-code calls to CAR. However, the interpreter also needs to know how to call CAR, which is what the above defun is doing. This is not recommended in user code... Why does my gas bill vary?

Frequently Asked Questions
Seasonal weather conditions have the most impact on the amount of natural gas you use. When it's cold outside, your furnace goes on more frequently and runs longer to warm your home. Your water heater also stays on longer to heat the colder incoming water. Aside from weather-related and other changes in your gas appliance usage patterns, your bill may vary due to changes in wholesale natural gas prices, which change based on market conditions. How does gas refrigeration work?

Propane Gas Refrigerators and Freezers - FAQ
The basic principle is to create cooling through evaporation. An ammonia mixture permanently sealed inside the cooling unit is heated by a gas burner, which causes it to circulate inside the unit before it evaporates and creates a cooling effect. The liquid circulation of the unit is purely gravitational, so there are no moving parts to wear out, which means fewer repairs. See similar questions...

My Fuel Gas Cap Tester (FCT) does not work properly; what should I do?

Oki Troubleshooting
Hard pumping of the fuel cap tester is not necessary. You are only pressurizing the air chamber to a little over 1 PSI (7.5 kPa). The pressure relief valve will not allow the pressure to build to more than this. Two or three easy strokes will work and not put undue wear on the tester. The Stant FCT requires 2 drops of "Stant pump oil" to be added to the oil hole (small hole under the pump shaft/knob) on a monthly basis. DO NOT OVER OIL. DO NOT USE ANY "NON-APPROVED" OILS.
