A visa is required for all U.S. citizens entering Turkey. U.S. citizens may obtain their visas upon entry at any point in Turkey or in advance from one of the five Turkish Consulates around the U.S. Please see the Jurisdiction List of the Turkish Consulates for your state. Application for a business visa must be done ahead of time, before entering Turkey. Visas given at entry points are valid only for three months.

Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality. The most reliable source of visa information is a consulate of Turkey in your country or the website of Turkish Republic Foreign Affairs Ministry, www.mfa.gov.tr

It depends on where you come from. In most cases, a visa is required from visitors that can be obtained either from the Turkish Consulates in your country or at the port of entry in Turkey. Please refer to visa information page.

On entering Turkey all UK passport holders need a visa, with three-month visas obtainable at Passport Control at your entrance point for £10 (sterling only). For visits longer than three months Visas can be obtained from the Turkish Embassy or the Turkish Consulate in London For residence permits, recent changes in Turkish legislation relating to the calculation of fees for foreigners living in Turkey have made the residence permits more expens?ve.

The Mexican Tourist permit is known as the “FMT” and is easily obtainable either on your airline flight, or at your point of entry. You are allowed to remain for 90 days with your permit renewable for a maximum of 180 days. Longer term business people, and extended time travelers, may qualify for a Visitors Permit which can be issued for up to one year.

There are a number of options where to stay on Islay, from the luxurious to the budget option. Islay has seven hotels, my personal favourite being the Port Charlotte Hotel. There are a number of B&Bs and guesthouses as well as a large variety of self-catering accommodation. If you are on a budget you might want to consider the youth hostel. The tourist visa purchased on entry to Turkey is valid for up to three months. If you wish to stay in Turkey for longer periods it is possible to apply for a residency visa, providing you can show evidence of your ability to support yourself during your stay. The application for a residency visa should be started from the UK by contacting the Turkish Consulate in London for the relevant forms and advice.

All Reformation Tours destinations require you to have a valid passport. If you do not have a passport, apply for one immediately; it normally takes four to six weeks to be issued. There are some destinations that require a visa. Visas can be obtained on arrival at the airport for countries in Europe and Turkey.
