Depending on the cartridge model, a temporary plastic clip may be attached to the cartridge. This clip is to help seal and protect the cartridge during transit. Check to make sure this plastic transport clip is removed from your inkjet cartridge. If this is not the problem, check to verify that you have the correct inkjet cartridge model for your printer.

To install a font cartridge in the printer, follow your printer's specific instructions. Using the syringe supplied in your refill kit, inject air into the top air vent to clean the nozzles. A small amount of ink should be emitted from the nozzle upon injection. If this procedure is ineffective, fill a small dish with warm water and soak the nozzles for approximately 1 hour. After soaking dry the nozzle using a soft tissue or cotton swab and inject air into the top vent. Reinstall the cartridge and attempt to print again.

The print head is damaging or aging as the cleaning cartridge is used to remove the substances which caused print head clogging. Air may be blocking the nozzles or there is insufficient ink to reach the nozzle. Refer to user instructions for refilling procedure. It is important that you apply the air pump and press at least 3 times until a drop of ink reaches the print head nozzle. Wipe the excess droplets carefully use tissue to absorb any unnecessary ink around the ink outlet.

A small possibility exists for ANY toner cartridge to leak toner into the printer causing unwanted stray marks on the paper.
