The Conference Secretariat will not be paying per diem, but will take care of your accommodation and meals as well as travel as per your invitation.

Reimbursement forms and information will be provided to participants at the closing of the training program and may only be picked up by the individual participant. If a participant fails to attend the entire training program, that individual will not be reimbursed for any travel expenses and will likely be required to attend a complete CIS training session at a future date to fulfill the grant requirement with expenses paid by the grantee.

Per diem travel costs are not set by the funding agency. These are determined by UBC. In accordance to UBC's Travel Policy, applicants can claim per diem amount of $50.50 CAN for travel within Canada and $50.50 US for travel in the United States and other countries. Once you have paid the original invoice and have an apportion file in good standing, you may purchase a 45-Day Temporary Permit Authorization. You may also go to the school's student insurance Internet site and "click" on Print ID Card and Verify Coverage. You will need to disable your "Pop-Up Blockers". Jeppesen will issue your temporary certificate within 2 to 3 weeks of your expiration. Your instructing privileges will not be interrupted during the renewal process. Jeppesen forwards your completed paperwork to the FAA Airman Certification Branch in Oklahoma City. The FAA will mail your permanent certificate usually within 120 days.

Travel immunizations are not available at PDPH District Health Care Centers, and private physicians generally do not stock vaccines required or recommended for foreign travel. All travel immunization clinics are by appointment only and charge for immunizations.

Those participants who have completed the application for the travel grant and qualify for the grant will be notified before the start of the camp. Participants who qualify will receive their grants in the mail two weeks after the camp.
