Eight ounces (1 cup) of fluid milk is a required component of the school lunch pattern. No other beverage (juice, ice tea, or soda), nor food (ice cream, cottage cheese, or yogurt), can be substituted for this required component.

pre-school children will be offered a range of stimulating activities, following the curriculum guidance for the Foundation Stage. Children will be encouraged to gain independence, learn social skills, make friends, express themselves creatively and develop an understanding in early reading and writing concepts. Children are offered these experiences through carefully constructed play.

The University Learning Center does not provide academic support outside the university community, but if you would like to hire a tutor on private contract, we can pass your information on to our tutors. The ULC does not get involved in negotiating the terms of private contracts. The Education Lab in the Watson School of Education does offer some tutoring of grade school children. Yes, the district's School-Age Child Care (SACC) program for before- and after-school child care is called Adventure Club and is part of the Community Education Services department. The program is self-supporting and is not funded by tax dollars. The program also runs a summer program for students who have just completed Kindergarten through 7th grade that begins in June and runs through mid-August. The program offers families additional child discounts.

Anyone, including school-aged children, who is healthy can visit. We recommend small groups at most. Avoid parties and big groups.

CHIP does not consider pre-existing conditions when determining eligibility for your child. There are no pre-existing condition waiting periods for CHIP.

Children may be registered for school by their parent or legal guardian. To enroll in kindergarten, children must be 5 years old prior to September 1. The district offers early entrance screening for children who turn 5 years old (for kindergarten) or 6 years old (for first grade) by the end of December.
