Answer: Because we are a small academy, our classes are also smaller. We average about 18 students to a class in our Youth Enrichment Karate Program compared to the 30 at many other schools. Generally, we have two instructors per class. But the more important question is: "Do the instructors make corrections and give praise to every student, by name?" At Focus Karate Academy, we do.

Class sizes range from 10-20 students. The relatively small class size and seminar-style of most of the classes allows for close interaction among students and professors as well as provides many valuable networking opportunities.

ABA, our focus is on quality rather than quantity, so our immersion courses are one on one or one on two. This permits us to offer personalized training, while also allowing us to provide individual counseling and hands-on experience.

On average, nearly 70% of entering freshmen are Indiana residents. While most out-of-state students came from surrounding states (MI, OH, KY, IL), there are students from as far away as Arizona, California, Oregon, Louisiana, Florida, Texas, and Maryland. 15% of the freshman class are multicultural (non-caucasian).

Once the physical examinations have all been completed at the beginning of term, we will meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the UH Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
