What is Work Study?
Nazareth College Welcome, New Students!: Frequently Asked Qu...The Federal Work Study program is a form of need based financial aid which subsidizes the student's wages. Students with a Federal Work Study award are eligible for certain student jobs to earn money toward college expenses. Each student who receives approval for Work Study employment will be allocated a certain number of hours that he/she may work (but not exceed) as part of the program. Work Study students receive a paycheck every two weeks, based on the number of hours worked.
What should I do if I have been awarded work-study?

Can I still work on campus if I did not receive work-study?
UNI - Financial AidYES. Because of limited Work Study funding and financial aid eligibility requirements, not all students who apply for Work Study will receive it. If students are not awarded Work Study, they have some options: Contact the Financial Aid/Student Employment Office about Community Service Work Study opportunities. Contact the Financial Aid/Student Employment Office to be placed on a Work Study waiting list. If Work Study funds become available, students will be contacted.

Most departments looking to hire students attend this job fair, while other departments submit their hiring needs in writing. A directory is distributed at the fair that includes a list of available positions on campus, as well as descriptions for each of those positions. We are interested in talking with these families when their baby is an infant and at other critical periods of their child’s development, specifically during toddlerhood.
