Students are required to complete WMTI's A & P course. It contains valuable information geared toward the Massage profession; it provides specific and relevant information that is not provided in courses offered at colleges.

The Fakir School in San Francisco (650-324-0543) offers an approved course. In addition, the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) offers an approved course at its annual conference. These courses cover the relevant anatomy and physiology for piercers, and common post-piercing complications. A college-level anatomy and physiology would also meet the requirement for piercers. The Cambridge Public Health Department will evaluate any course you think satisfies the requirement.

This course covers the basic anatomy of the skin, basic functions of the skin, common skin conditions, and possible post-tattoo complications. The relatively few pain receptors that reside in the muscles are not freely accessible to their surroundings. It is not necessary to have studied anatomy before beginning your training with the LCICI. You will be guided on what you need to know about anatomy during the four-day training. Many of the nursing prerequisites and university core classes are offered in the evening on the main campus and at the Fort Campbell campus. As time passes the fluid is absorbed and the swishing sound will go away. So do not worry. This situation is quite common. The breasts heal at different rates. The breasts will swell after any surgical procedure. In time the swelling will subside and the two breasts will be more similar in appearance.

Clearly there are similarities between OBEs and dreams. In both we experience a world in which imagination plays a great part and we can perform feats not possible in everyday life. But the OBE differs in many important and obvious ways from what we have called an ordinary dream. The outer layer of the skin is the epidermis, and the next layer is the dermis. The epidermis, which is generally less than a millimeter thick on the face, is constantly being regenerated as surface cells are shed. As epidermal cells are pushed to the skin surface, they become flattened, and a hard protein called keratin is formed in them. The thicker dermis under the epidermis contains collagen and elastin fibers that give skin its elasticity.

The ADN program at College of the Mainland is primarily a daytime, Monday-Friday program. Occasionally a student may be enrolled in an evening or weekend theory or clinical course. Credit for nursing courses completed at another institution are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Credit may be awarded for comparable courses completed elsewhere.
