Help/FAQ | Script Frenzy
Yep. As a blueprint for a movie or play, a script needs to be formatted in order for anyone---an actor, an agent, another writer, your dad---to read it as you envision it being seen. Learning how to format as a script writer is like learning how to draft as an architect. It makes your art accessible. Formatting is also less scary than you think! There are many software programs out there to help! We've highlighted four for you to check out on our Writing Software page.

Our Script Smart formatting tool is available to help as a template, but please remember this is intended for guidance, not as a prerequisite for having your script fully read.

Having to reenter musical data for each program you want to use is a big inconvenience to everyone who uses more than one music software program. Before MusicXML, the only music interchange format commonly supported was MIDI.
