When I went to the American Citizen service hour in April, the question was asked, what if you could not make the interview. The person there answered that they strongly suggested that you do everything possible to make the interview date. They said that if you could not make it, then you would be put at the end of the waiting list. So it could mean waiting another 3-6 months for the next interview slot.

Applicants are required to supply a self-addressed courier bag or Registered envelope. If all your documents are in order, and your application is approved for issuance, your visa will be issued and mailed to you in the envelope you provided. Pages 3 and 4 will be sent with the appointment notice for you to complete at that time together with the medical instructions.
