They usually choose one of two alternatives: They go the "lower tech" route by using the pre-distributed slides and just using the teleconference number to listen in on the live webinar. If you paid the registration fee for a webinar, you should be able to connect to the webinar using the joining instructions mailed to you.

If time allows, there will be a designated question/answer opportunity at the end of the conference. At that time the speaker will ask for and answer questions from participants.

Many of our public free mp3 streams (non Premium) are running on port 80. If you experience skips even on those, try using the same servers on port 5190. This solution works mostly for people with webcache systems. They also happen to be usually outside United States. Yet another alternative is to check out our Premium service, which offers streams on multiple ports for each channel.

The easiest way to access a computer that is protected by a firewall is to map one of the firewall's ports to SpyAnywhere's port (default is port 80).

The most common cause is that you are losing your IP address. Most ISPs use DHCP to assign IP addresses. Many also send a heartbeat to see if you are still connected.Your firewall may have blocked them. Go to Run type in command, hit OK, and type ipconfig /all then press enter. In the returned data list will be a line DNS and DHCP Servers with the IP address(s) listed out to the side

This should not be an issue. VISION works in the same way as most web sites (on port 80). You may experience a problem accessing it from workplace networks, if this is the case then please contact the appropriate system administrator for that network, to ensure you can access this learning and teaching tool, if it is part of your studies.

First, you probably want to use "ssh-add" to add a password to your ssh agent (presuming you have that set up). If you don't know about this, do a "man ssh-agent" to learn about it. If your company has a firewall installed, you may not be able to have your credit card transaction approved. If this is so, you would have to register from a terminal which does not have a firewall.

It is not a problem to download the program on a slow dial up connection. The audio component will take the longest as it is a rather large file. If your connection drops during download you can easily resume when connected again. Download will take approximately 48 minutes on a very slow connection.
