Shower after you swim and use a mild soap to remove pool chemicals. There are swimmer soaps that are supposed to remove pool chemicals from the skin, or you can use that swimmer shampoo as a body shampoo. You might find that using a exfoliant or scrub puff to remove scaly dead skin will take care of that "fishscale" appearance. Apply a mild lotion while the skin is still moist. Sitting around in a wet bathing suit can result in a rash.

This condition, sometimes referred to as "swimmers itch" is an unpleasant, itchy rash caused by small worm-like parasites, called schistosomes (Shiss-toe-soams). These little worms are found in many lakes and ponds, usually in the warm summer months when beaches are most heavily used. They float around near the surface of the water, where they can come into contact with the skin of human swimmers or waders.

Those dry, itchy red patches that occur on the skin are often from a condition known as eczema. The best way to protect your hair is to wear a swim cap. Always rinse your hair in clear water (not poolwater) after swimming and shampoo if possible. Some other suggestions are to wet your hair BEFORE putting the cap on so that the hair is saturated with clear water, not pool water. Some advise putting conditioner on your hair before putting on that cap, but this can get conditioner in the pool.

There is anecdotal evidence indicating that some people may experience adverse skin reactions from showering in fluoridated water. However, there is very little information in the published scientific literature to document this concern. There is also very little published research documenting if, and to what extent, fluoridated water may pass through the skin and enter the bloodstream. The tests that would be needed to determine this would be simple to do.

This is referred to as succussion. This striking of the bottle further dilutes the remedy thereby making it somewhat stronger (least is best). You do this fifty times when you first make the remedy.
