If your Marshall is equipped with a front panel FX Mix/FX Loop Mix knob (Fig. 4.1 & 4.2), this indicates that the amp has a Parallel or Series/Parallel effects loop. This means that you can adjust the amount of effect that is heard via this knob. If your amp does not have this knob, you have a Series Loop, in this instance you can adjust the effect level via the effects unit itself.

We felt that most users will set and forget the mix and would prefer to set the precise mix level without worrying that it gets accidentally nudged. A guitar pick is used to make adjustments.

The effects loop works in conjunction with the solo channel. Therefore, an effect like a delay will only go on when the solo channel is activated. When in true-bypass, the pedals in the effects loop and the distortion will be out of the signal path.

FX is a stand-alone application that provides the special effects component of the WinImages suite. FX is only available as part of WinImages. FX allows you to apply effects such as lightning, fire, water effects and more in both still and animated forms.

Acceleration, in physics, corresponds to the force applied to something that causes it to change its position or speed. It is the force you feel when a car accelerates from a stop sign, pushing you back into the car seat (it's a horizontal force). Similarly, when an elevator starts moving, you feel more weight on your legs (it's a vertical force). When a roller coaster car makes a hairpin turn, the acceleration may push you to the side, or up or down.

The Plextor Corporation was one of the founding inventors of the CD+G format and currently the only drive on the market that can make 100% accurate duplications of a CD+G disc. There are different models of Plextor drives, but if you want the best quality duplication for CD+G, you must use the Plextor Premium CD-RW drive.

Zsh provides an alternative to the traditional sh-like forms with do, while TEST; do COMMANDS; done allowing you to have the COMMANDS delimited with some other command structure, often {...}. There are two set screws that screw into the base of the knob and secure the knobs to the spindle. The set screws sometimes will work their way back out with use. They can be tightened using the Allen wrench supplied with your doorset. If you are have problems keeping the set screws in place, try putting one drop of clear nail polish in the screw hole before screwing the set screw in.

A g-suit puts pressure on the abdomen and legs to return blood to the heart and brain. Pressure of 40-50 mm Hg can relieve symptoms of Orthostatic Intolerance (OI). Pressure of 250 mm Hg or more helps prevent blackouts for fighter pilots experiencing positive G's. A g-suit can be inflated manually and the pressure is easily adjustable.

The problem with a lot of loop discs is the fact that so many of the loops on a particular disc do NOT work together. In most cases it is because you have a random assortment of drum sounds, varying from one loop set to another. We offer several discs that are UNIFIED collections of loops. By that, we mean the entire disc features one single drum sound (all loops are taken from the same kit, same room, same recording session).

The CD+G formatted discs is a very unique format. Unlike standard CD's, CD+G takes the images/graphics, (which are embedded within the audio track sub-channels), to allow the discs to show the song lyrics while playing the music. Standard CD-ROM or CD-RW drives will not be able to accurately detect those hidden images and distort your copies. In order to make an exact back-up copy of your produced CD+G disc, you need to make copies from a hard drive.

Some Marshall amplifiers are equipped with a Loop Level switch located on the rear panel (Fig. 3.1); normally right next to the Effects Loop jacks. This switch provides a +4dB or -10dB (db = decibel) compensation for the various effects that can be run through the loop. The general suggestion is that the -10db setting should be used for stomp box type effects. The +4dB setting should be used for rack/floor processors.

When using coax, either the ground braid or the center conductor can be used. Unless you using one inch hardline the diameter of the braid is simply too small for high efficiency. Have I tried it on RG-8U and other types of coax? Yes. Does it work well? In my opinion the answer is no. One inch or even half inch copper pipe will work much much better. I would not recommend this strategy at all since every experiment of this type yielded poorly performing loops.
