The simple rule of thumb is that if drives can work and be recognized under DOS, perhaps with the addition of extra device drivers, they should be "seen" and usable by SpinRite. The only types of drives which probably won't work under SpinRite are those which totally depend upon Windows device drives and which have no DOS support.
