This is common in today's wheels because it allows wheel manufactures to make one wheel with the same offset and bolt pattern for several cars. The NSX bolt pattern and offset is used in some Honda, Acura, Mitsu, and Toyota applications, but the hub ring makes the wheel set properly on the hub. This is not a bad thing.
