There isn't such thing as a "perfect" dwell setting (if there were then it wouldn't be adjustable). Every marker operates a little differently and every marker requires a bit of tuning to perform well. Think of the ISO values as film speeds. Low ISOs such as 100 and 200 are better suited to situations in which there is a lot of light ? outdoors scenes. Higher ISOs, such as 400 and 800, would be used outdoors where there is plenty of light and fast shutter speeds are desired ? sports and air shows, for example ? or indoors for available light shooting. ISO 1600 would be used where there are very low light levels, such as indoors or at night.

Many new digital cameras offer several different settings for applying sharpening to images in-camera. Which one should you use? If you have a sophisticated image editing program, you should use the lowest possible sharpening setting. Why? The correct amount of sharpening to apply will depend upon the dispay method used for the image (printing, LCD, CRT, etc.) as well as the final size of the image and the content of the image itself.

The input sensitivity setting is a function of amplifier gain. You will want to match it with the output level of whatever is before the amp in the audio chain (i.e. preamps, mixers). For amplifiers with a 0.775V position, this positions corresponds to a 0 dBu level. The 1.4V position corresponds to a +4 dBu level. The 26 dB position is a fixed gain position. The 26 dB position is also the lowest gain position, and will usually work well with output levels of +10 dBu (2.5Vrms and above).

If the UpConverter detects a progressive scan signal it cannot utilize it's CinemaView enhancement engine to process the video. You will basically see only a resolution scaled image of the output from your DVD player. We recommend turning off the progressive setting on your DVD player so you may use the advanced Motion Adaptive De-Interlacing, noise reduction and sharpening filters on the video.

Every boat is different. Some trial-and-error will be necessary. However, between the torque-curve of a given engine, operating profile of a given boat, reduction ratio, available wing area, it will be possible to "back into" the right propeller combination and pitch setting. Each blade style has been optimized for a given set of operating parameters.

Dwell volume is simply the time delay for a gradient change to reach the top of the HPLC column . It is important to remember that each HPLC system has its own dwell volume and will effect the separation results. THIS IS A MAJOR REASON GRADIENT METHODS MAY NOT TRANSFER. When starting the game with one peasant only, full speed is best for a short while. After three or four buildings are completed, it is best to slow the game to one notch below that. This makes units more responsive, so it is possible to cast spells, react to attacks, and so forth. If the lag in a game is particularly bad, the speed should be slowed to about the midpoint to reduce the effect of the lag. Note that lag is caused almost entirely by network and modem performance.

There is no single best adjustment setting for your KONI shocks because every driver and vehicle has different preferences for comfort, performance, performance modifications and roads to drive on. For most vehicles, we suggest that new KONI's be installed in the full soft position (the standard setting right out of the box) to take advantage of the balance of ride comfort and handling designed by the KONI ride development engineers.

The ideal setting depends upon the vehicle, and the driver’s tastes. Settings tend to be different on rear wheel drive cars than on front wheel drive cars. Also, settings will vary between drag racing and road performance environments. Test the different adjustments to find the best combination for your vehicle.

If you wish, you can insulate the walls of a box cooker with various substances. Fiberglass or Styrofoam is usually not recommended since they give off ill-smelling gases as they heat up. Many people, however, leave the walls empty of any stuffing, preferring instead to place a piece of foiled cardboard as a baffle inside the wall airspace.
