The semester runs for 15 weeks. However, the College also offers 5-week and 8-week accelerated online courses. Summer semester is 8 weeks.

Most courses found on the University of Washington Time Schedule are eligible for Non-Degree Enrollment. Enrollment is at the discretion of the department and requires departmental approval. To find out if a specific course is open for Non-Degree Enrollment, you will need to check with the academic department offering the class. School-level student enrollment counts will be based on student-level data collected through the Annual Statewide Student Identifier (SSID) Maintenance. CBEDS coordinators should work closely with local educational agency (LEA) staff responsible for obtaining SSIDs and submitting the Annual SSID Maintenance data to ensure a smooth transition.

You can apply during your final semester as an undergraduate. However, you will be accepted provisionally until you supply us with an official transcript that posts your degree.

The enrollment process for a pre-enrolled applicant is expected to take approximately 10 minutes. The enrollment process for an individual who chose not to pre-enroll is expected to take approximately 15 minutes.

Full-time students take four courses a semester. Each class meets one day a week for one hour and 50 minutes. Practice courses meet for two hours and 50 minutes a week. Three-year students and One-Year Residency students take two courses a semester. Students in these programs must also take two courses in the summer. It is recommended that students take one course during each 6-week summer four required session. (The University offers Summer Session I and II.)

This depends on your own schedule, work and family commitments, previous educational experience, etc. Many people begin with one course and move to two courses per semester. Others find they can take three courses per semester, sometimes completing courses at home via correspondence. These people obviously move much more quickly through the program obtaining a Certificate in a little over a year. Our flexible program allows students to set their own pace.

Planning a class schedule for a specific semester is an important responsibility for students. Some students from community colleges are use to be told what to take. However, at the University and with telephone registration, you are responsible for planning and deciding what to take. Here is a general strategy for planning a good class schedule. First, buy the catalog, read it carefully, and know all the requirements you must complete for your degree.

A racing Greyhound has never been left alone without other dogs or people. This will be difficult for them, especially at first. However, most will do fine for reasonable periods.

For each semester, you need to turn in a completed semester enrollment form. (Semester enrollment forms are available at http://financialaid.unlv.edu/VA/forms.asp or at the Student Financial Services office.) Fill out the student's portion and then take the form to your academic advisor for a signature. Your academic advisor will review the form to make sure the classes listed are degree applicable. The academic advisor will also provide your degree sheet.
