We use voltage levels that are very common to analog synthesizers which will make it easy to interface with other audio equipment. We use 1 volt per octave pitch control signals, and 10 volt peak to peak waveforms. Usually some attenuation is made of the final output before patching into mixers or amps. Yes, ISDN2 and ISDN2a accesses use the existing local leads of your existing telephone service. It is possible to convert a normal telephone service to ISDN. In this case the conversion cost is applicable.

A A second existing voice grade line for a fax machine, modem, or children's line is an excellent choice to convert to an ISDN line.
