Is EchoLink available for a PDA, such as a Windows Pocket PC?
FAQsMany handheld computers (PDAs) and smart phones now have wireless networking and audio capability, so in theory they could be used for VoIP applications such as EchoLink if appropriate software were developed. However, at this time there is no project underway to port the existing EchoLink software to a platform such as PocketPC.
Is EchoLink available for any platform other than Windows?
FAQsEchoLink is designed specifically to run under Microsoft Windows. Currently, there are no plans to offer versions of EchoLink for other platforms. However, if you are running a Macintosh with OS X, you can use the program EchoMac by N9YTY, which is compatible with EchoLink. (Support for EchoMac is not available through the EchoLink Web site.)
