The GMAT is one of the required parts of an application and the results are an important factor in the admission process. However, there is no certain weight put on this or any other factor. GMAT results are reviewed in conjunction with all other parts of the application.

In order to apply to the Illinois MBA, you are required to take the GMAT. You also must take the appropriate test for the other school in which you are enrolled. Joint degree students must apply to the MBA for the term in which they plan to enroll in the MBA. See Joint Degree for more details.

Answer: No. Official GMAT scores are required for an application to be considered complete. Unofficial scores can only be used as a preliminary measure to evaluate your application.

GRE: Varies by program. If there is a minimum score required, it would be listed in the catalog under each program's admission requirements. MAT: Only good for the master's in Counseling and doctoral in Nursing; no minimum score has been set.

The GMAT is scored on a scale from 200 to 800. The average score is pretty close to 500 although that has increased in recent years. To get into a top 10 business school you will typically need a score higher than a 600. While a score higher than 700 should get you into most business schools, nothing is guaranteed.

Initially, we advise an international applicant to attach photocopies of his/her score reports with the application, but official reports issued by ETS will be required before full processing of that application will take place. In some instances, the Graduate School will accept certified copies of these reports.

You may submit the “unofficial” score that is printed upon completion of the test. You can either mail or fax the printout to us. (Fax #: 425-827-3185) You may also drop it off in person. We will review your application with this printout. However, if admitted into the program we will need to have received your official score within 2 months of the admission offer.

No, we do not specify a minimum GMAT score - it is just one of the many criteria we consider in the selection process. However, the majority of our students have a score above 580, and the average for this year's class is 680.

There is no minimum requirement - a high score does not guarantee admission and a lower score does not necessarily eliminate an applicant. The average score is 680, with 80% being between 610 - 750.

There is no minimum GMAT score cutoff. An index comprised of the GMAT score and undergraduate GPA is used as a guideline for admission decisions.

When assessing the GMAT score, we take into account the background of the applicant. Because of the enormous diversity in the class, we expect variation in GMAT scores, and never view the GMAT in isolation. It is one of many criteria we use to assess applicants: a high GMAT score does not guarantee admission, and a low score does not necessarily eliminate an applicant.

If your GMAT is from anytime within the past eight years, it is still valid for use with your application to the IMD EMBA program. You should ask GMAC to send an official score to IMD EMBA.

According to GMAC, GMAT scores are good for 5 years. Please note that all your scores during the past five years will be reported on your score card to schools.

You should forward the printout you receive immediately following the GMAT exam to the Program in Real Estate. It can take ETS several weeks to process and send your scores, but by providing the printout the admissions committee can make an admissions decision subject to receipt of the official scores directly from ETS.

We will accept the test centre (unofficial) GMAT score from candidates up to August 10, 2007 which is the deadline for receiving the application forms. Candidates are required to have the official score sent from Pearson to IIMA [CODE:CQQ-RR-60 ] soon after their submission of scores/application. The application will be considered incomplete unless the GMAT score is received from Pearson.
