If you are a petitioner in Family Court, your case will probably be thrown out and any temporary order of protection you had will be gone on that day. If you are a respondent in Family Court, the case can be done without you there (provided the petitioner gave you notice of the case) and an order of protection can be issued. As a respondent or defendant, a warrant may be issued for your arrest in either a Family Court or a Criminal Court if you don't show up.

You must restart your claim before the RO with “new and material” evidence. “New” evidence means evidence that the Veterans Affairs has not seen before. It cannot be the same doctor’s letter you submitted before but with a different date, but it may be a letter from a different doctor. “Material” means that it is relevant to the issue on which your claim was denied.

If you have not and a warrant for your arrest has been issued, contact your attorney and appear in court as soon as possible.

You will have to return to court to ask for your final order of protection. The respondent has the right to a hearing. You may see a different Judge from the one you saw the first time. The Judge you see on the next court date is the Judge likely to decide your case. If the respondent does not come to court: You will be asked to show the Judge that the respondent was properly served.

It is extremely important that you do not miss your orientation date. If you do not notify the Orientation Office (517/353-5030) (prior to your scheduled date) that you are unable to attend your AOP, we assume you are no longer interested in attending MSU. Please be advised that Michigan State University reserves the right to cancel a student's admission or defer their arrival on campus should they fail to attend their assigned Academic Orientation Program.

If you miss your payment date a fee may be charged to your account, and interest will be charged on the overdue balance on a daily basis until the outstanding payment is cleared. If you continue to miss payment dates your account may be suspended and legal action may be taken to recover the outstanding amount.

If you miss your trial date you may be convicted without a hearing. You may attend at the convicting court office and complete re-opening papers within 15 days of becoming aware of the conviction. You will then appear on your re-opening application before a Justice of the Peace who will then consider the reasons for your failure to appear at trial. The re-opening may or may not be granted. If granted, you will receive a new Notice of Trial by mail.

You can defer your studies to the next intake date by letting us know. We will then issue you with a new Letter of Offer.

Court begins at 9:00 a.m., when the judge makes important announcements about what will happen in court and the parties' rights. After these announcements, the courtroom clerk calls roll and parties must answer that they are "present" and state their names. Failure of a tenant to appear may result in a default. Failure of landlord to appear may result in a dismissal. When both parties appear, they may attempt to resolve their differences by entering into a written agreement.

Tickets not applied for by debenture holders are added to the allocation to the RFU’s member clubs and schools.
