Schools Making High Growth attain their High Growth Standard. Schools Making Expected Growth attained their Expected Growth Standard but not their High Growth Standard. Most Improved Schools are those who attained the State's highest value on the high growth composite. Honor Schools of Excellence are schools that made at least expected growth, had at least 90% of their students' scores at or above Achievement Level III, and made Adequate Yearly Progress.

NB: recognition applications for advanced courses must be linked to an application for a research outlet(s). Technically, your school may submit a Recognition Program application annually. However, we recommend that you wait until you have accomplished more positive changes in your school's health environment before submitting subsequent applications.

Groups and categories are the basic structure used for organizing your contacts. Groups are the more general of the two, and categories function as subsets of groups. A contact will be a member of the group that holds the category in which he/she is classified, but can also be added to just the group, or left out of any groups or categories altogether. Each regular account is allowed 3 groups and 8 categories for each group.

Events are determined by age categories, except in the case of "theme dating". When registering for an event, we will ask you to indicate which age group you would prefer to be included in

The Recognition Program is designed for elementary, middle or high schools or any school with any combination of grades between Kindergarten and 12th grade. Yes, it is still worth it for your school to apply for the Recognition Program even if you are small and lack certain amenities. School size does not limit your school's ability to create a healthy school environment. Each section of the Recognition Program application focuses on a topic area important to a healthy school environment.
