If all of the required information is included with the application, generally it can be reviewed and processed within a week. You will be notified by e-mail, or regular U.S mail of your acceptance. Once an application file is complete, it is scheduled for review by the IBS Admissions Committee. They may decide to invite a prospective student for an on-site or phone interview; they may decide to hold on the application and review it at a later date; or they may decide not to offer admission to the candidate. Once the interview is completed, the Admissions Committee again reviews the full application, including interview evaluations.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university, a GMAT score and at least six years of full-time business, non-profit or government experience. All IBEAR applicants must submit a GMAT sore report. IBEAR recommends that all international applicants also submit a TOEFL score, but waives this requirement in some cases under certain conditions. All applicants who do not submit a TOEFL score must have a personal interview by an IBEAR admission staff member.

Like all admission requirements, the emphasis placed on standardized test scores varies by graduate degree program. A good score on the test will certainly improve your chance for admission, so prepare well in advance. To a degree, yes. The test is somewhat biased in favor of native English speakers who are at least sixteen years old, and strongly biased in favor of those exposed to Western culture in early life. We are not aware of any other biases.

If you did not finish High School, we will need the High School Transcript up to the time you stopped attending, as well as an Official GED Transcript. Yes. This is important for your safety. We perform a blood test to identify any bleeding tendencies or active medical problems. This is to protect your health.

Please note that all applicants for Medicine and for Veterinary Medicine must sit the BMAT, and all applicants for Law must sit the LNAT. (You must register for both these tests before you submit your Cambridge Application Form.) You may be asked to sit the TSA or a short College test when you come to Cambridge for your interview or you may be asked to submit an essay that you have written at school/college.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis when the Office of Foreign Programs receives all required materials (transcripts, recommendation letters, TOEFL, personal statement and financial documentation). If you are not able to provide financial documentation at the time you submit your application -- for example, if you are applying for a grant or scholarship from your home country -- please say so in your application and describe your anticipated sources of funding.
