The time span to earn the Doctorate of Philosophy averages 6 years. The first two to three years, depending upon transfer of credits, are spent taking courses with lab rotations counted as one course unit. Students funded by teaching assistantships are expected to take 7 courses per year (3 fall, 3 spring, 1 summer). Students funded by training grants or research fellowships take 8 courses per year (4 fall, 4 spring).

Normally 4 years, assuming that you take about 16 credit hours each semester. Naturally, if you take fewer courses per semester, then it will take you longer time to graduate.

Undergraduate degree programs offered at American Heritage University have been designed to allow students to begin studies within a semester and proceed at their own pace. Students are required to complete a minimum of two courses per session, and must complete their program of study within five years from the date of enrollment, unless the Registrar’s Office has issued an extension. The postgraduate degree programs must be completed within four years from the date of registration.

A master's degree generally can be completed in two years. Some fields, such as social work or the speech and hearing sciences, require field work or a clinical practicum, which may add time to the length of completion. A doctorate generally takes 5 to 7 years to complete.

UNLV does not have a specific program for foreign-trained dentists. Our program will require starting from the beginning and completing the four-year training. The application procedure is the same for all prospective students—applying through AADSAS, submitting DAT scores, letters of evaluation, etc. If National Boards have been taken, it may be used in lieu of the DAT but will be determined on an individual basis.

The programmatic requirements will take two years to complete. While your coursework can be completed in two years, it may be two to four months until the next available graduation date. Howard University has graduation one time a year in May. Conference of the degree and eligibility for graduation will be considered for the next available University Graduation provided all requirements have been successfully completed

It takes two years of full-time work with a BS in Speech Pathology. If starting as a junior, or if starting with a BA in another field, it takes four years of full-time study.

Most of the off-campus cohort programs will take two years (including summers) to complete. In general, academic work, including transfer credit, taken no more than seven calendar years before the year in which the graduate degree is awarded may be used to satisfy the degree requirements.

On average, students in the college of engineering graduate in 4.5 years. The amount of time to graduate can vary widely based on how much AP credit the student brings in, the student's progress through the course sequences and whether the student chooses options such as co-op, summer school classes, and credit-by-exam. The degree plans for all undergraduate degrees offered by the college show the class sequences completed in 4 years, with a course load of around 17-18 hours each semester.

It takes approximately four to six weeks to receive the degree audit once you apply to graduate and if you apply according to the deadline on the application (Word Version) or application (PDF Version). The time it takes to complete a graduate degree depends upon the number of courses you take each academic period. In a trimester or semester-based master's program, if you take two courses per period and one in each summer session you can complete the program in 2.5 years. In the doctoral program, if you take two courses per period and one in each summer session you can complete the program in 3.5 years

The amount of time it takes to complete an associate degree at WVC varies by individual need. During this time, you are completing general education requirements, major requirements, and any prerequisite courses you might need. Most of our certificate programs (and they do vary widely in the number of units required) typically take two or more semesters to complete. WVC encourages students to attend both part-time and full-time (12 or more units) as they pursue their personal and academic goals.

A full time student can obtain a master's degree in a full calendar year, that is, fall and spring semesters, and two summer sessions. Students in the school psychology specialist program are required to obtain a master's degree in educational psychology before they go on to courses in the specialist program. A master's degree alone does not allow one to practice as a school psychologist in the schools.
