The library will hire one work study per semester per campus. Speak with a financial aid person on either campus at the beginning of each semester if you are interested in being a work study.

If you are a resident of suburban Hennepin County or an employee of Hennepin County, you are eligible for a Hennepin County Library (HCL) card. You may apply for a card online (and your card will be mailed) or bring current identification into any Hennepin County Library to get your card. If you are a resident of another area of the Twin Cities or state, you may use a card issued by your home library system to borrow materials from HCL.

Kent Career Technical Center has agreements with many West Michigan colleges to coordinate the curricula of a number of programs in an effort to save its students time and tuition. Upon successful completion, academic testing competency, and instructor recommendation, these colleges will grant credit and/or advanced standing for time spent in courses, saving college-bound students hundreds of dollars in tuition and instructional time.

No. While most of the people who apply to our program are actively enrolled in college, graduate school, or law school, you do not have to be a student to be considered for an internship at NOW. Several of our past interns have simply used the experience to improve their knowledge of women's issues or their grassroots organizing skills. Others have used the experience to see if they would be interested in pursuing a career in feminist activism or the non-profit sector.
