No! Research has shown that headlice will not stray from food sources. There is NO NEED TO TREAT BEDDING OR HATS. The only way that headlice spread is from very close contact of human hair. The times that this can occur is during play or if children are sharing a bed (i.e. sleep-overs etc)

No. We recommend that you wash your regular bed sheets and pillow cases in hot water once a week (60?C). A cooler temperature will not kill the mites. You do not have to remove the Demitze mattress encasings and wash them every week. Wash only for hygienic purposes. Skirting is removing all of the undesirable pieces from your raw fleece. This would be matted or felted parts, dung tags, second cuts, coarser fibers, hoof trimmings, stickers, vegetable material and any foreign objects.
