We have had many people who are wanting to breed the Klee Kai, who also want to be able to show our dogs, thus the application. Will Doodles ever be AKC recognized?

Naper Doodles Miniature Labradoodle & Goldendoodle FAQ
I hope not. Right now, Doodles are bred for all the right reasons--temperament, health and family-friendly qualities. If they became AKC-recognized, they would be AKC show-able. Some breeders may switch to breeding for appearance rather than the other qualities we love about them so much. In my four years as a breeder, I have met a warm and completely supportive group of knowledgeable breeders on the Goldendoodles.com Breeder's Forum. There is no jealousy and no sense of competition.
