All of the HTML and PHP in Starlight Pops is hand-coded by me, using good old Notepad. I use both The Gimp (freeware) and Paint Shop Pro (expensive) for making graphics. The only other thing I really use is FTP Surfer (more freeware) for uploading stuff, and that's it.

For all the HTML programming, in other words the website itself, I use DomiNOTE. It is like Notepad, as included in Microsoft Windows, but it offers the advantage of editing many files at the same time, no matter the length (Notepad asks you to open Wordpad when a file is too long). I am totally against WYSIWYG ("What you see is what you get") editors: they can really mess up your website. For the pictures, I use Paint Shop Pro, and for the file transfer, I use CuteFTP.
