No. All the core samples of Trilogy are cross-referenced between many different patches and layers. Deleting any samples would destroy numerous patches, complicate updates and lose song compatibility between different systems, making collaboration with other Trilogy users impossible. For all these reasons, we made the single, large wavetable of 3.1 gigabytes.

While you don't need a hard drive in the unit, you might want to consider adding one. Here are some advantages of using a hard drive: Safe storage of the master. You burn the master to the hard drive, and then you use the image on the hard drive to burn the copies. The duplicator will run faster and more efficiently, especially if you are making many copies. Without a hard drive, with each burn the duplicator has to read the master before burning the copies.

YES!!! If you don't have a CD burner or zip drive, then buy a whole bunch of floppies and run a backup program. At the very least always back up any document you care about.

If you run it from your computer's CD-drive then you won't need any room! Otherwise, not much - it depends on how big your photo package was and how many images we scanned for your web site. Generally, you will only need 3mb of disk space maximum. Remember, your images were initially scanned and maximized for the Internet and therefore great care was initially taken to insure minimum file size.

Native DV takes up a lot of hard drive storage. Approximately 4.5 minutes of footage fits in a gigabyte (1 hr takes 13 GB). This is why all our systems come with a lot of hard disk space, e.g. our lowest-end system has 80 gigabytes or >6 hours of full resolution DV.
