If any other application is using your sound card in a blocking mode, then you get this error. You have to wait until the audio device is released by it and restart VQube.

You are running a program that requires the Berkeley Packet Filter (bpf(4)), but it is not in your kernel. This is a specified behavior of the AiOS Shortcut, the Sidebar Switch and the Toggle Button. There is selectable microsecond delay for each of the four inputs, (not tracks). This delay can be applied to “time align” audio sources arriving at the inputs. For instance, all A/D converters have a measurable delay from their analog input to their digital output. This group delay, or latency, can be accounted for at the inputs of the 744T. Analog inputs can be delayed to match the delay from the external A/D converter.

This generally means that there is no CDROM in the CDROM drive, or the drive is not visible on the bus. Please see the Using Data CDs section of the Handbook for a detailed discussion of this issue. Your CDROM probably uses the “Joliet” extension for storing information about files and directories. This means that some device on your local Ethernet is using a MAC address in a format that FreeBSD does not recognize. The FreeBSD kernel will only allow a certain number of processes to exist at one time. The number is based on the MAXUSERS option in the kernel configuration. MAXUSERS also affects various other in-kernel limits, such as network buffers (see this earlier question). If your machine is heavily loaded, you probably want to increase MAXUSERS. This will increase these other system limits in addition to the maximum number of processes.

The webserver running CofC Webmail has set a quota for the amount of space allocatable for your mail. Users have a 50 Megabyte quota for mail stored on our webmail server. After you have uploaded 50 MB worth of attachments, you must click on Logout to clean these attachments out. This total includes trmporary files from messages in the INBOX, all saved-mail folders, sent-mail folders, and file attachments. in place of your regular username and CofC WebMail will clean out the mailbox.
