We can get any type of wood you desire. For example, we recently constructed a kitchen using reclaimed birch wood from the bottom of Lake Superior for one our customers. Most customers use the following woods: oak, birch, maple, cherry, hickory, Brazilian cherry, and ash. All wood has a natural color, but we can also treat the wood with a stain to produce a desired color.

We carry Antique Heart Pine (Longleaf Southern Yellow Pine), Red and White Oak, Eastern White Pine, and American Chestnut. We also occasionally carry Maple, Spruce, and Beech. I would say that most woods can be carved. But there are some that are less than desirable for a number of reasons. The grain of the wood may be unattractive, or the wood itself may be too soft.
